Stove Top Pizza

Ahh, pizza. I’m always looking for ways to make pizza easy and quick so I can get dinner out to my friends quick fast and in a hurry. You might be able to relate. This is the fastest way I’ve found.

You can easily double this recipe for a larger pan or to make two. The pan I uses was 10 inches. Make sure you use a non-stick pan with a tight fitting lid. Watch your cooking time because depending on your pan, and your stove it might cooker faster or slower.

Stove Top Pizza
Makes 1 Stove Top Pizza
Serves 2-3

1 c flour
½ c warm water
½ T olive oil
¾ t baking powder
½ t yeast
1/2 t honey
¼ t salt plus an extra pinch

¼ c pizza sauce plus topping of your choice

I used:
½ c of mozzarella and cheddar cheese
1 Italian sausage, browned
2 T chopped onion
2 T chopped bell pepper
2 T sliced black olives

In a non-stick pan add all stove top pizza dough ingredients and mix ingredients well with a spatula. Pour a little olive oil over your fingers and press dough to cover bottom of pan. Brush the top of the dough with a thin coat of olive oil. Add pizza sauce, then add you toppings.

Place lid firmly on top and cook for 5 minutes oven medium low heat. Twist the lid so that it’s open a little and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the dough is cooked through. If you want super brown bits of cheese you can always put the stove top pizza under the broiler for a few minutes. Remove from non-stick pan to a cutting board and slice. Enjoy.
