This is designed for bread machines, friends.

1 3/4 c all-purpose flour plus 2 extra T
1 3/4 t active dry yeast
8 T unsalted butter, cut into 1 inch pieces (1 stick) room temp.
3  T plus 1 t sugar
2 large eggs
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons water (yes, this is all the water you need)
3/4 teaspoon salt

Add to bread machine flour, salt, water, eggs, sugar and yeast. Set machine to basic cycle, light or medium, 2 lb loaf. Then add butter a hunk at a time after each minute for 10 minutes during the kneading cycle. After bread has baked, remove from machine and let it cool on a cooling for 1 hour. This is great for stuff like my Stuffed French Toast. Enjoy.
