It’s amazing how simple ingredients can make for a wonderful meal, or in this case an appetizer. Frying Mozzarella Sticks at home is really easy. They don’t take a vat of oil, and I bet you have most ingredients on hand. Serve these at your next party and watch them disappear really quickly.
Note: in the video I said 10 but I meant to say 20 cheese sticks.

Homemade Mozzarella Sticks
One 8 oz block Mozzarella Cheese, cut into 20 sticks
5 turkey pepperoni slices, cut into thin pieces
1/4 c flour
1/4 c bread crumbs
2 T Parmesan cheese
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t black pepper
1/4 t Italian seasoning
Oil for frying, 2 inches in pot
In a shallow dish add the flour. In another shallow dish add eggs and whisk. Slice open half the sticks of cheese and add 1/2 worth of turkey pepperoni to each. In another shallow dish mix Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Dip each Mozzarella stick into the flour, then the egg letting the excess drip off, then the breading mixture and place on plate. Repeat with all mozzarella sticks.
Place plate in freezer for 40 minutes. When it’s almost time for the mozzarella sticks to come out the freezer pour 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot. Heat oil to 365 degrees Fahrenheit. Fry mozzarella in 2 or 3 batches. As soon as their golden brown flip and as soon as they turn brown of the flip side quickly remove them to a cooling rack.
Serve with my quick and easy pasta sauce or your favorite pasta sauce. Serve these Homemade Mozzarella sticks right away. Enjoy.
