Green Bean Casserole

It’s thanksgiving time again and that means Green Bean Casserole. I don’t stray far from traditional Green Bean casserole with this one because peeps around the table be getting mad if I get too crazy with the stuff. I like to mix up the soups plus the bacon sprinkled on top is a nice attention to this dish. Bacon goes great with almost anythi…I mean green beans. 🙂

Green Bean Casserole
Serves 6

5 cups cooked, green beans
1 1/3 cups French Fried Onions, recipe here or store bought
1 can 10 oz Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
1/2 can 10 oz Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup whole milk
2 slices cooked bacon, chopped into bits or crumbled
1 1/4 t soy sauce
1/8 black pepper
1/8 t cayenne pepper

Preheat oven to 365 degrees. In casserole dish add milk, soy sauce, salt, and peppers to 8 by 8 casserole dish. Mix well. Add 2/3 c of french fried onions and the cooked green beans. Mix everything well. Bake for 35 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle on remaining french fried onions and the bacon bits. Serve and Enjoy.
