Easy Cheese Straws

These are great for parties or just for snacking. These cheese straws are also great for dipping. They have a little kick from the cayenne pepper and black pepper which I enjoy.

One of my favorite combos is cayenne pepper and black pepper together like they’re best friends or something. These go rather quickly at a party so consider doubling up on these boys.

Easy Cheese Straws

4 oz Cheddar Cheese, grated, shredded or chunks
¾ c flour
4 ½ T butter
1/8 t Salt
1/8 t Pepper
1/8 t Cayenne Pepper
1/8 t garlic powder (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with a silpat or parchment paper. Mix all this stuff in a food processor until forms a dough. It might not come completely together and you might have squeeze the finished dough together by hand. Break off golf ball sized pieces of dough (3/4 oz of dough for each straw). On a cutting board or your silpat parchment paper roll each ball out to about 7 inches and place on baking sheet. Bake for 17 – 20 minutes. Let cool on pan. Enjoy.
